Asked by: Flower Power 719 views Hair , , , , ,

Ok so i just got my hair cut since the ends were dead but know my ends are puffy and fizzy and dry ! I have naturally spiral curls 3b but I’ve damaged my hair by doing ALOT of chemical straighteners so know i want my hair to relax and be healthy so I’m leaving it alone only when my roots grow in i relax it so it wont be a curly mess on the top of my head . Is there any way to make my hair nice and soft and smooth? Please help me i hate my hair and i feel like shaving it off :( thank you in advance

For the dryness try to use hot oil hair masks, my personal favorite is olive oil. All you do is warm it up, then apply it to your hair. If your hair is extremely dry, leave it over night then rinse in lukewarm/cold water. (Shampooing twice may be needed) I also like using coconut oil.Try to use less heating products if possible and also dont shower every day. I would say TRY and go 2-3 without showering so your hair can get its natural oil.

You can use the shampoo total repair 5 by L’oreal it restores damaged hair & doesnt contain any sulfate which is a plus! You could also use aussie 3 minute miracle deeep conditionar this product is for damaged hair & its absolutely amazing it makes your hair feel soft & silky after just one wash. Also dont use anymore chemicals or heat in your hair, leave it natural & if frizz is a problem i recommend using john friedas frizz ease, it smells great & really does work. Also dont brush your hair when wet that just damages it more & dont do anything tight in your hair or braid it neither some people believe its good, but its really not, it just strains the hair follicle & makes it alot worse. & you could also massage your scalp 10-15 minutes everyday, this helps the circulation in your scalp & you could also take vitamins called Biotin, these are helpful for your hair, nails, & skin. Drink a lot of water as well & have a healthy diet. Hope i helped :)

Try using coconut oil. Work it through the roots and the length of your hair. Remember, try not to slather it on, a little bit goes a long way, your hair shouldn’t be greasy. Wear something on your head when you go to sleep. Preferably not cotton material. Cotton will absorb the moisture from your hair and make it dry. You could also get a silk or satin etc. pillowcase instead of a head scarf. As for the puffiness…. The only thing I can think of is to flat iron it on a lower setting, with some type of product so you don’t harm your hair. If you must, there is a product called JAM that works like hair gel, but does not harden and moisturizes your hair. It holds well.Thats all I can think of.

Use a shampoo with intense repair formula. After every wash use conditioner as it will make your hair less dry and frizzy. Don’t take long gaps between hair wash. Before every hair wash apply coconut oil with massage on the scalp, in the roots and the tips. My hairs were also like you but I applied these methods and now I love my curls.

Oh I just did this for my hair with the same problem. Buy a tub of cholesterol conditioning hair treatment, like Lustrasilk or Queen Helene but leave it in for 30 minutes to 90 minutes, especially on the ends. Worked for me! I just read that some gals with very curly hair that want to control or straighten it use a spray that is dominantly made of silicone. Research that.
