How long would it take for my belly button piercing to heal?

Asked by: Ollie 577 views Skin & Body ,

I have had it for two years I believe. It was rejecting very slowly ( Like it would reject for a month then stop reject for a month then stop. ) It also got caught one time and yanked a little so it has thick scar tissue. It started rejecting again and I finally took it out. So How long would it take for it to completly heal so I can get it repierced once I loose some weight?

What you need to do is ask a skilled piercer. Because there’s a lot of scar tissue and you seem to have a problem with rejection, they might suggest you not get it re-pierced. It was either pierced too shallow or with improper jewelry, or your body doesn’t take well to piercings. I would suggest finding someone other than the person who did your original piercing. Find a good shop and skilled piercer. APP members are always good and I’m sure theres one working in a local shop. Ask them if getting it re-pierced in the future is a good idea and when you’ll be able to do it. Most of the time when piercings reject, its because of improper piercing, jewelry, or after care. Make sure it won’t happen again. Do your research.

it’s probably going to take about six months . less than it takes for it to heal with the jewelry in . since there’s nothing there . make sure your still cleaning it tho ! you can still get an infection .
