How to make medium/long hair hold?

Asked by: Sweet Donkey 479 views Hair , ,

I am male and have medium to long hair. I make my hair look how I like it before I go out but as soon as I leave the house the wind destroys it. I have my hair over my ears and my fringe swiping left, as I want, in lack of better words, an ‘emo’ look. So yeah, is there anyway I can get my hair to hold this? Like certain products and how to apply them and ways to clean/dry my hair to make it hold? Any help will be greatly appreciated as I’ve been trying to solve this problem for years, thanks :) Btw, I have straight hair if that helps :)

Pomade, hair wax or hair clay products can be used to style hair that is difficult to shape and hold and is particularly good for people with naturally straight hair. However only use a pea sized amount of these products as they are difficult to wash out.If you want an even stronger hold for your hair use a really good hair gel as they contain alcohol which will dry the hair out and create a stiff hold. In order to get the get the best results apply the gel to wet hair.Hairspray is also very good for keep the hair in place but make sure you but the one which says extra hold as this will keep your hair in position for longer.Styling hair glue will also be good for you because you have longer hair, just make sure you wash your hair thoroughly to remove all the glue. Products I’d recommend are all from boots:? Toni & Guy men styling glue – £4.79? Toni & Guy men styling promade – £4.26? Lynx strong cream hair gel – £3.45? L’oreal extra strength hairspray £4.00Hope this helps!

Products Products Products! i would start off by blow drying your hair in the direction u want it to be in, we have to train our hair.. Then i would use some type of gel, paste, putty, ne thing that u feel is the best product to try. Its different for every1. I would go with a product like spray glue or ne thing that says firm hold. Then after u have achived ur look spray it with hair spray! I have short hair and i like a hairspray tht is like glue! I use "IT" freeze. Its in a gold can and its better then some high dollar stuff ive used, its like 4$ and its at Walmart and Cvs. U also need to be careful with some gels, when they dry they can flake up and look like dandruff! I hope this helps u!!!

A friend of mine used to style his hair like this, he used to spray it with hairspray once it dried and then straighten it with straightening irons, before spraying it with hairspray again. I don’t know if this would work for you but it’s worth a try :)
