I hate my permed hair! What do I do!?

Asked by: Muffin Angel 479 views Hair

I’ve always had straight hair and for my birthday my mom took me to the salon to get a body wave perm but the guy at the salon left it with super tight curls and my hair is extremely frizzy. At first it looked fine wet but afterwards it looked terrible. I was so disappointed , he told me not to wash my hair till Sunday but I washed it as soon as I got home yesterday. I look like hermionie. I can’t help but think how damaged my hair is and I don’t want to damage it more with heat. Btw my mom payed for it and it cost 100 dollars so I feel bad because she spent all that money and I don’t even like the way it turned out. What can I do about my hair? How can I stop the frizz? Did I ruin my hair by washing it? What do I do now? Do I wash it again?!!!

Unfortunatley you just did a chemical processess on your hair. I know your not supposed to wash your hair after a perm because it needs to set, and washing it could ruin the perm. But washing didnt ruin the perm for you i guess since you washed it and your hair is still curly. If you try to do a relaxer on your hair you will be adding more chemicals to your already damaged hair, which could cause breakage, it will cause your hair to dry out. Invest in a nice flat iron, like a Chi.Your going to have to let the perm grow out :( Add some mouse to your hair to controll the frizz if you want to keep it curly. Try a Super Skinny by paul mitchell I use it on my curly hair and when i straighten it, its conditions and controlls frizz. Swear its like crack in a bottle. You could also call the salon and let them know you hate it and ask if there is anything else they can do for you. Good luck.

Dont wash it again, just go back to the salon and see what he says. You’re mom will understand, its not really your fault, you just didn’t like it thats fine. AS far as ruining your hair goes, im not sure. Coming from the other side, being black my mom would perm my hair to be straight, and with that you really have to cut all the perm out f your hair when the natural hair comes in to a length your comfortable with
