If i cut a tree down and it hit my shed is the damage covered by homeowners ins?

    Yes, even though it was your own fault, it would be covered (subject to your deductible). Getting a bit technical, part 1 of your homeowners policy is what is called first party coverage. That means the shed (or your house) is covered regardless of the fact that your negligence was the cause of the loss. Just like someone who leaves a pot on the stove to burn, forgets to extinguish a candle, overloads an electrical circuit – all of these claims are covered even though the policyholder’s negligence caused the loss.

    Lol i doubt it, why would you cut a tree down if you dont know how to? You can choose what direction it will fall by how you cut it.

    On a standard HO3, yes, damage to the shed caused by the falling tree is covered, subject to your deductible.
