Is It Safe To Put Toothpaste On Your Face?

Asked by: Twinkles Blossom 610 views Skin & Body

I’m just wondering. Today I decided to try to clear up some pimples, and these tiny blackheads I have. I’m not uber worried, I’d just heard about using heat/steam to open up the pores. I heard that toothpaste is good for getting the crud out, and since I have LOTS of pimples ( just small ones, but they’re kinda everywhere ), I just took a little bit ( total amount probably about pea sized ), and kinda rubbed it all over my face. I left it on for about 1 min, then washed it off with soap and water, then just used water. I did a few more minutes of heating/streaming.

That was about 8 hours ago. My skin feels AMAZING. Really smooth, and soft, and it really helped the pimples/blackheads. I’m just wondering if it’s safe? Lots of people online say it’s bad for you… IDK. I feel worlds better.

I heard that if it’s plain white no mint or anything just plain white, then it’s fine. You’re only supposed to dab it on that one several pimple though. Like if you have singles in different places, dab it on each one. Toothpaste isn’t a face scrub though, remember that.

Of no, it’s not bad. Toothpaste is great with big, huge pimples. Just leave it on a pimple for 5+ hours. And it sucks all life out of it.

I do it only like once a week since toothpaste has alcohol and can seriously dry out your skin/ruin it if you put it on your face very often.
