Tired of my nappy hair?

Asked by: Diamond Love 512 views Hair

I never got a relaxer before but just might. I’m 14. I’m on the verge of tears, for reasons I don’t feel like explaining. I saw this commercial for natural hair product and WOW it was an afro and looked incredible. I’m not talking about curly hair either. I tried so hard. I have to get pictures on the 22 for high school. Tomorrow I’m going to a baby shower. I don’t want to go because of my nappy hair. It’s breaking when I comb it. I tried telling,my mom my hair not meant to be combed. She tried to hot comb it but stopped after 20 minutes. I was like just please finger detangle before you pull all my hair out. I tried everything. I have been researching for months. I tried everything I could without buying new stuff. Conditioning, baggy method, tension method, etc. It hurts when I comb it and I can’t take this. Why,must it hurt for me to look presentable. I’m tired of getting called nappy haired or people calling my hair nappy quite rudely. People suggest I get a relaxer. I’m done talking now. My hair isn’t helping with my depression at all.

Well if you’re too poor to get some hair products then you probz wont have enough for a relaxer and to keep it up. BUT in case your finances change for the better, I would go get moisturizing hair care products. Being natural, you should NEVER comb or brush your hair without some type of moisturizer. And you can get some at the dollar store for like 3 bucks. Pink moisturizer or Motions is good, so is the olive oil moisturizer. If you want something better go to a hair store or somewhere like walgreens. You’ll find stuff to detangle, moisturize, and tame your locks. Natural hair can look amazing when its taken care of. Look up some youtube tutorials for natural styles, like twist outs and braid outs. That struggle was mine at one time. Good Luck! May the hair gods be with you!

I have really dry and nappy hair too. Normally, to help put moisture in my hair, I put mayo in my hair. Olive oil is good for moisture too but mayo is better for strengthening your hair so it doesn’t break too easily. It helps quite a bit on my hair. Remember to do it before you was your hair.
