i am so nervous about getting my tragus piercing, advice/help etc?!?

Asked by: Collete 217 views Skin & Body , , ,

i am 16 and am getting my tragus done in a few days. i already have my ear pierced at the top (Helix) which wasnt bad and a few piercings on my ear lobes but thats it.

i have heard really bad stories about tragus piercings about how its ‘high risk’ and hurts so f*cking bad etc.
but then ive also heard that it barely hurts or doesnt hurt at all!

the place where i am going to be going (PX PIERCINGS) they use numb spray, my friend got hers done there and she couldnt feel a thing so thats why im going there haha. i would only get a tiny silver stud though.

anyways any experiences, advice etc?thank you!

I got my tragus pierced last year and my piercer said that there’s not a high risk of rejection or migration. I didn’t think it hurt that much, supposedly there’s no nerves in there, so the only thing I really felt was the needle breaking the skin. I also didn’t hear the "pop" that most people hear, so I didn’t even realise he had already pierced it. If you do your sea salt soaks religiously and don’t sleep on it, etc, it’ll heal in no time. It’s one of my favourite piercings.

I got my tragus pierced back in august.Piercing experience: IT’S SO WEEEIRD, when the needle goes through you hear a popping, uhm, weird noise, not that painful actually you just feel alot of pressure. I’d give it a 2/5 ,hurts a bit less than helixAfter care: for me it was very painful, so painful that i ended up taking it out, because the piercer put in a quite large hoop, so i felt alot of pressure and changed it a bit to early, so i’d advice get a smaller hoop, and don’t change it until it is FULLY healed, wish you luck. Also im 15, got it when i was 14, good luck, it’s a really cool piercing, would re-pierce it if knew where o go since i moved contry

i had my left one pierced and loved it! Its such a cute piercing but be aware it migrates meaning your body can force the piercing out and may split your tragus in half. Just be aware and take it out before it does.
