You shouldn’t be removing the jewelry AT ALL for at least 6 weeks. I don’t know what that guy was talking about, but he sounds like a moron.Yes, you need to keep the same jewelry in. You’ve just got two puncture wounds through your lobes, they need to heal. Why would it ever sound like a good idea to remove the jewelry from an open wound? That would just be asking for infection.

In my experience, I have never been told to take them out, as said by others that must have been a mistake. I have my tragus, an industrial, helix/cartridge, and double lobes/both sides pierced. Here is the advice that I was given, and the one time that I didn’t fallow it, I wished id had.CLEAN, CLEAN, CLEAN. Leave them in & use antibacterial soap. Like when you’re in the shower, then a couple times in addition to that through the day. I have been advised against using peroxide or alcohol. The other part of this is( the part that I once learned the hard way), LEAVE THEM ALONE!!!!!! Don’t mess with them, touch them, and keep hair & hair product out. Just leave them alone unless you are cleaning them. After 4-6 weeks, you will be able to reward your patience with a new pair of earrings.Piercings are AWESOME, just be patient & you will really enjoy them. Happy healing & all the best to you

When i had my ears pierced i kept mine in for a month and twisted the stud twice a day once in the morning and once at night. After that i bought myself a lovely pair of earrings. I think its so the holes dont heal or you may end up having to get them repierced.

You shouldn’t even take them out to clean it! Leave the rings in and just rotate them while you pour alcohol on them. And yes that’s correct, leave them in for 4 weeks!!!!
