I've been dared to dress as a girl for a charity half marathon – is this stupid?

I’ve been warned that running in unfamiliar clothing can lead to severe chaffing for a start – so maybe this is a bad idea?

Wear your normal shorts under the dress or skirt. You could just wear pink shorts plus ribbons in your hair and makeup on your face. Or just wear a mini skirt over your shorts.

"Unfamiliar clothing"….. screw unfamiliar clothing! It’s a charity run! I bet you could run around all day in jeans and not chaff so don’t listen to random old busy bodies putting you off with all their technical terms! If you’re in a floaty skirt, big old blouse, wig and flat shoes I think you might just survive. People run a full marathon dressed in heavy fancy dresses! Stuff like people running the London marathon dressed as a telephone box… sure they ain’t bothered about chaffing! They’re raising money and having fun and adding to fun memories! If you’re really worried you’ll chaff then in training, if you actually train, then figure where you chaff and put vaseline on it for the big day. Good Luck, suck up and get out there and do it for a good cause! :) x

As long as you’re comfortable doing it… I don’t see why not.
