Makeup tips for green eyes?

Asked by: Twinkles Cupcakes 495 views Makeup , , , , ,

I’m 15 yea old going into sophomore year. I have dark brown hair and bright green eyes and my complexion is fairly light. Any tips on what colors i should use for my eyes? I normally like to use neutral colors and some black eyeliner on my water line on my bottom lid and a little mascara. Any tips??

I have the exact features you do! For natural, everyday makeup I use bronze/copper eyeliner. I got mine from Sephora, it’s kinda expensive but I’ve had it forever and I use it all the time. It’s Tarte Amazonian Clay Waterproof Eyeliner. If I wear eyeshadow I use bronze/browns or purple, depending on the look i’m going for. Revlon has really awesome eyeshadow sets that come with colors for your lid, crease, etc. I’m pretty sure they have purples. My favorite brown eyeshadow is Covergirl eyeshadow in Tapestry Taupe. It’s very natural but it makes my green eyes glow with no other product on them. For a more dramatic eyeshadow I use Maybelline Tattoo Eyeshadow in Bad to the Bronze. If I’m wanting my makeup to be a little more dramatic/fun I’ll use purple eyeliner and trust me it is the best way to make your eyes pop! I use Urban Decay 27/7. They have a ton of purple so you can just pick your favorite. It is expensive, but like the Tarte is lasts FOREVER. And stays on all day no matter what but is super easy to remove. A pretty charcoal color looks really good too, like a shimmery steel grey. Again, mine is Urban Decay. It’s the only eyeliner I’ve found that will stay on me. When I wear these I usually just line my whole eye VERY thin, otherwise it looks too intense on me because of my fair skin. A few other colors would be navy, emerald green, or red. Navy is pretty but not my favorite. I, personally, cannot pull off the green or red colors but red will definitely bring out your eyes if you can pull it off. And to make your eyes pop even more CURL YOUR LASHES! Then apply mascara. My two favorites are Covergirl Lashblast and L’Oreal Voluminous. They make your eyelashes super thick and long which makes my eyes stand out even more.

sable (that’s a dark dark brown not quite black), gold, copper, or pewter (metallic gray) eyeliner. purple would work too but that is more of a party type color rather than everyday wear.for eyeshadows: purples, corals, pinks that are almost red–not the pale pinks–think colors of the sky at sunset, browns, & greys—these are all colors that will enhance the green. not all of the eyeshadows will look good on your skin tone so you’ll need to play with them to see what works for you

Golds, purples, and bronze colours really are great for green eyes.
