Rollers for black hair?

Asked by: Best Friend 229 views Hair , , , ,

I’ve recently tagged along with the whole Natural Hair "revolution", so I’m trying to avoid heat by any means necessary aside from my weekly wash & blow dry. I have a mohawk and was thinking about doing rollers so I could mix it up with curls and not kill my hair with the blow dryer AND flat iron :/ but my mom seems to believe my hair is not meant for rollers and will frizz to all hell if I do it. I think my hair is a 3c but I really don’t know. Any advice or tips?

There are TONS of different ways to curl your hair without heat. Depending on if your hair is naturally straight, wavy, super curly, and because you have a mohawk you might have to tweak the way you go about doing no-heat curls. I recommend trying pin curls or maybe t-shirt curls. The videos below are how-to’s which will thoroughly teach you how to do these heatless curls better then I can explain it. Don’t limit yourself to just these videos though, there are PLENTY more out there. Just experiment with different techniques until you find the way your hair curls best.Hope this helps! :)

Just braid it or do a twist out
