Senior Portrait make up questions?

Asked by: Melon Bear 533 views Makeup ,

Did you do it yourself or did you go somewhere for someone to do it for you? Was it natural kind of make up or did you put a lot of make up? .

Lots of details if possible, thanks.

While you could have someone do it for you, I did it myself and I think it turned out great! I would suggest doing a more "natural" look. That’s what I did at least. You don’t want your makeup to be too overpowering and dominant, you know? Yes you do want to have a "flawless" face, but the primary attention should be on your smile!! :D To go about creating a "flawless" (aka blemish free and even toned face) I took L’Oreal’s Tru Match foundation and dotted it all over my face. Then I blended out the dots in a circular motion with a buffing brush (though you could use a flat top brush). After that I took Maybelline’s Fit Me concealer and applied that underneath my eyes to cover up my bags and overall brighten my face. I prefer to blend out concealer with my fingers, but you could use a small concealer brush or a beauty blender if you have that. Finally I set all this face make up with L’Oreal’s Tru Match powder (to ensure none of your face makeup slides around or off… no one wants that!) After that I just did a winged eyeliner using Physician Formula’s Eye Booster 2-in-1 Lash Boosting Eyeliner + Serum (it’s just an ink eyeliner pen. You don’t have to use this brand). I then curled my lashes and applied two coats of my favorite mascara, L’Oreal Voluminous Million Lashes. If you wanted a bit of extra glamor you could also apply a bit of your favorite blush! (:FINALLY the most important step: apply your favorite chapstick (I probably used an EOS lip balm) and top it with a lip gloss (: and don’t forget to smile!! (:Voila! (Also if you don’t have a brush set already, I would highly recommend the Real Techniques Eyes and Face kit. They’re not too pricey and you can usually find them on sale) (:
