What can I do with thick, frizzy, wavy hair?

Asked by: Snicker Doodle 225 views Hair , , , , ,

I have no hair intelligence whatsoever and I have probably the most frustrating hair. Straightening takes a good while, so I always wear my hair in a ponytail. I want to wear it down sometimes. Any suggestions on how to fix it?

Here are some tips:1.Put hair conditioner.(Any)2.Do not wash your hair a lot3.Apply a leave-in conditioner or anti-frizz serum to your damp hair.4.Let your hair dry naturally to avoid damage and breakage. Here are natural ways:1.Get honey & vegetable oil, then mix it.Distribute it evenly on your hair.2.Coat DRY HAIR with mayonnaise, when you finish put a plastic shower cap & leave it on for 10-20 min.3.Apply olive oil all over your hair. Then cover with a plastic bag leave it for 20 min.4.Beat 1 egg, then add 3 tablespoons of water and then apply to scalp.

I have the same exact textured hair (it sucks sometimes) and I’ve come to learn what works best. To care for it-Use hydrating shampoos and conditioners of reasonable quality. Don’t use low quality on your type of hair. It won’t be worth it. When you get out or the shower, spray a leave in conditioner or de-tangling spray in your hair and use a wide tooth comb to comb it through. The best choice for drying would be to air dry, but if you don’t have time then blow dry your hair 60-75% of the way dry with a diffuser. Don’t wash your hair every day. It will only make it frizzier. If you tend to have oily hair, then wash it every two days. But if your hair isn’t oily, then wash it every 2-3 days. To style it-It’s usually is best to part curly hair to one side, but it depends on your face shape. You can leave it down, pin it, put it in a bun, or braid it. Anything really will work.If you’re going to a fancier event (or just a regular one), braided updo’s look great on thick, curly hair.Good Luck!

I know the feeling :) Try Herbal Essences curl scrunching gel. I use it all the time when I am letting my hair dry naturally. It turns puffy waves into nicely shaped curls in about 5 minutes! I know that my hair wouldn’t stay together with the gel, and if that is like you then you can also spray Herbal Essences spray gel in with it. Since they are both from the same line, they work as a pair. This helps me a lot and I hope it helps you too!!! :)

After you get out of the shower, brush your hair, and use leave-in conditioner or mousse. Let it air dry. Never brush your hair while it’s dry. That’s what I and several people I know with my hair do. Although, our hair is curly, not wavy.
