What would happen if I Straighten my Permed hair?

Asked by: Angel Princess 272 views Hair , , , , ,

So I got a perm back in like November, and its still pretty curly, but its so frizzy now and I dont really like it, I got a nice hair straightener and some Tresemme Heat Tamer Protective Spray stuff and I’m just wondering what it will do to my hair? will it damage it? and will it go back curly after I wash it? will it still be crappy and frizzy after I straighten it? and how long do perms usually last?

Nothing will happen, all that thermal styling/straightening does is change the physical structure and when you got it permed it broke down the sulfide bonds changing your hair structure in a chemical manner but you may certainly straighten it, it will definitely go back to being curly after you shampoo it and perms last as long as it takes to grow out so your new growth of hair will not be curly, if you really like it, at somepoint i suggest you go back and get a root perm which is like a touch up for perms. hope this helps, best of luck and if you have more questions email me at jturner373@yahoo and i am a hair stylist

You can get rid of the frizz using Pro Naturals Moroccan Oil Hair Treatment with Heat Protector, it helps strengthen the hair that’s prone to breakage, smoothes the hair, reduces Frizz and helps prevent heat damage, plus leaves hair healthy, shiny and resilient. Check it out at http://bit.ly/pwm2r3 or if you are in Canada at http://bit.ly/p0PMWk . Hope it helps.

Im agaisnt that in general. some people have stornger hair, and some doesnt.. You can try it though but I wouldnt recommend to do it alot.. try to find some other, more natural ways to fix it.

Your hair will be straight and not frizzy if you spend enough time on it, but then go back to curly when you wash it.
