When to get a cartilage piercing?

Asked by: Jolly Bee 367 views Skin & Body , , , , ,

So I was going to get my cartilage pierced on Sunday but I chickened out, but now I want to do it again. I have senior pictures a week from Friday, should I wait until after that in case it gets infected? Will it still be red then? And would it hurt if I got my hair done? So should I wait or just go for it?

I’d definitely leave it after your graduation, a slight knock can be so painful and become infected especially if you’re doing your hair for the graduation. Mine took a full year and a half to heal but I have no problems with it at all had it done for at least 5 years now so the pain is worth it in the end. It does swell up, go red and can get infected just keep using the solution you get from the piercing shop. DO NOT get it done with a gun as its very dangerous because it could shatter your cartilage bone and its very unhygienic. Also don’t get it done at places like Claire’s because they have no knowledge or advice to give you. Sorry if I’ve frightened you just preparing you for it.
